My six year old grandson is playing coach pitch baseball and was having trouble with the timing of his swing. I was looking for a pitching machine that would lob the ball in at about the same speed his coach normally pitches. (an ancient shoulder injury makes it difficult for me to throw consistently). At practice he would normally get 12 to 15 pitches, with this machine he can get 20 to 25 quality pitches and practice his swing at a relaxed and comfortable pace. His timing is improving and with the accuracy of the machine has less fear of getting hit by a pitch. We have the machine set at the next to slowest setting about 30 feet from the plate. The machine is very easy to fine tune for distance, speed, and height. When he starts to tire, I let him pitch a few to me and he can operate the machine easily.I have not tried it at faster speeds yet but it appears to be thoughtfully designed and well built. I expect we will enjoy using it for many years to come.

What a great value for $$. My HS son has been practicing baseball during off seasons. We live in the country so it often hard to find someone to play with or to go to batting cages. This works well for just practicing batting, catching or just playing around.

Throws pitches at a consistent speed and is accurate left to right, but definitely has variation up or down no mater what I’ve tried over hundreds of pitches and watching several videos. But it actually helps the kids in some ways since they won’t see back to back pitches at the exact same location in a game either. Really solid purchase for a coach or just for the back yard.

So let me just backstory but I will make it quick. My son has been playing baseball his whole life but always just been "ok". Up until this last year.... he found a new passion for the sport and has been wanting to practice every day. Which can be physically hard on a grown up to throw balls over and over. So we ordered this. Not only has it saved us physically but our son is a local celebrity in the baseball community. This machine reeeeally improved his batting stats and helped him learn to time the pitches. He hit his 1st grand slam a few nights ago and it was such a huge moment for him. He's only 12 but he's playing well beyond his years. If your kids are serious about baseball but you canr afford an electric machine.... this is a total game changer !!! Get it !

Love it for everyone saying the arm is backwards take to bolts out and turn it the other way it fast straight pitches I had to get longer screws to hold it in the ground otherwise it jumps but since I did that it don't move at all
